Warman O’Brien is exclusively retained by a global pharmaceutical company to appoint a Director of Biometrics. Based at their Cork hub, this strategic leadership role offers the chance to shape and grow a statistics function within a group that operates like a small biotech inside one of the world’s leading pharma companies.

What you will be doing:

• Lead and mentor a multi-functional team (Statisticians, Programmers, Data Managers)
• Build future leadership within the group and shape team structure
• Provide strategic input across therapeutic areas, supporting global development
• Represent the Cork site in global statistical leadership forums
• Oversee resource planning, gap analysis, and stakeholder engagement
• Educate cross-functional colleagues on statistics and trial design
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-impact environment working on key assets

• PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or related field
• Strong clinical development experience
• Proven line management and team leadership skills
• Ability to communicate statistical value across a matrixed organisation
• Experience in stakeholder management and strategic resource planning
• Regulatory submission experience, publications, or industry engagement
